Yota Adiwidya Center through the YOTA CARE program has carried out the "Ramadan Sharing" activity by distributing grocery packages containing typical Ramadan foods and staple goods to 4 elderly in Kampung Kiaragoong, Cisewu Village, Garut Regency on March 17, 2026.

Garut, March 17, 2026 – The month of Ramadan is the right moment to share happiness with others. Yota Adiwidya Center, a social institution under the Yayasan Yota Wujudkan Asa, once again demonstrated its concern through the YOTA CARE program.

On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, YOTA CARE carried out the "Ramadan Sharing" activity by visiting 4 elderly individuals living in Kampung Kiaragoong RW 08, Cisewu Village, Garut Regency. These four seniors received grocery packages containing basic necessities and typical Ramadan foods.

This simple activity is a form of attention to those in need during this blessed month.

Warm Welcome from Kampung Kiaragoong

The journey to Kampung Kiaragoong, quite far from the city center, did not dampen the team's spirit to keep sharing. Narrow village roads with uphill terrain had to be traversed on foot, but the warm welcome from local residents eased the fatigue.

The implementing team, consisting of institution administrators and a young volunteer, were warmly welcomed by the elderly and their neighbors. The family atmosphere was palpable as packages were handed directly to the recipients.

One recipient, an elderly woman living alone, expressed her gratitude with tearful eyes. "Thank you very much for helping. This is very useful for me," she said in her distinctive Sundanese dialect.

The presence of the YOTA CARE team among them served as a reminder that there is still concern from people they have never known before.

Grocery Packages for Ramadan Happiness

The grocery packages distributed this time contained not only daily basic necessities but were also equipped with foods synonymous with the month of Ramadan. Dates and syrup were included as complements expected to accompany their iftar moments.

Several basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, eggs, and instant noodles were also part of the packages. There were also biscuits, coffee, and tea to accompany their suhoor and iftar times.

The selection of dates as one of the package contents was certainly not without reason. This fruit is always present in the iftar tradition of Muslims around the world. By providing them, the team hoped that the elderly could feel the same happiness when breaking their fast.

A Memorable Humanitarian Journey

The activity, which lasted from morning to afternoon, was a valuable experience for the implementing team. Tri Febriansah, who directly led the activity, admitted to learning a lot from this visit.

"Meeting those who live in limitations yet remain steadfast in living their lives is itself a valuable lesson for us. Especially in this blessed month of Ramadan, we feel very grateful to be able to share," he said.

Meanwhile, Alfiq Arifin Nurdin, a young volunteer who participated in this activity, was impressed by the spirit of life of the elderly in Kampung Kiaragoong. "Even though they live simply, their smiles are sincere. That's what makes me feel that small activities like this are very meaningful," he said.

The distribution activity, which was hampered by terrain and hot weather, was carried out with great enthusiasm. Even when one recipient was not at home, the team promptly entrusted the package to the nearest neighbor to ensure it reached the rightful person.

Transparency and Trust

As a social institution entrusted by donors, Yota Adiwidya Center is committed to maintaining transparency in every activity. This Ramadan Sharing activity was supported by donations from a philanthropist who entrusted their funds to be distributed to those in need.

All donations were used for the purchase of grocery packages and their supplies. From cooking oil, syrup, biscuits, instant noodles, dates, eggs, tempeh, tofu, coffee, to typical Ramadan cakes. Transportation costs during the activity were also part of the fund usage.

Every detail of fund usage is well recorded as a form of accountability to the donor. This is in line with the institution's principle of prioritizing trust and mandate.

Hope for the Future

It is hoped that this Ramadan Sharing activity will not stop here. Yota Adiwidya Center, a social institution under the Yayasan Yota Wujudkan Asa, plans to continue carrying out similar programs in the future.

There are still many elderly and underprivileged community members who need a helping hand. With support from various parties, sharing activities like this can continue and reach more beneficiaries.

In closing, one thing always remembered by the YOTA CARE team is that happiness is not always about what we receive, but also about what we can give to others. In this holy month of Ramadan, may every goodness be rewarded abundantly.
